"Dudley" is a 3 year old Rottweiler mix who had some severe trauma this summer. In June, he got caught on something and tore the skin off his side over a large area, creating a large flap. Fortunately there was no penetration in his abdomen! This area was surgically closed, with drains placed, and weeks of antibiotics and pain relief medication. Slowly but surely he has healed. He has had to have several more operations to remove dead tissue edges, which are common after this kind of wound. As of this fall, he is almost fully healed and back to his active self!
